The Samaya ASSAUT2 ULTRA tent is the ultimate mountaineer's product. This makes it an ultra-light and ultra-performing expedition tent without ever neglecting the interior comfort.

Designed to meet the extremely demanding specifications of its athletes, Samaya has sourced the best manufacturers in the outdoor world today. Dyneema®, YKK and Easton are a guarantee of quality where there is no room for chance.

Intended for use in extremely steep faces, the insertion of the poles carbons as well as the main opening of the tent are made in the width. In addition, there are two attachment points on the sides to secure your tent if you don't have room to stretch the Guylines. At the top, a strap that joins the inside and outside of the tent and on which you can tie yourself down, allows you to keep a lifeline to the wall in case of a landslide.

At only 980 g for two people, the carbon poles guarantee failproof strength and unbeatable lightness of your structure.
The Samaya ASSAUT2 ULTRA tent is made entirely form Dyneema®. The two-layer membrane fabric is the most advanced innovation in the tent world of today.

WALL OF THE SAMAYA ASSAUT2 ULTRA

Depending on the qualities and performance required, the composite is adapted to suit the application. The walls of the ASSAUT2 ULTRA are made of 2-layer laminated fabric resulting from the combination of Dyneema® Composite Fabric and an ePTFE membrane. This know-how specific to Samaya allows to combine waterproofness, breathability and extreme lightness.

The Dyneema® filaments on the outer part of the fabric are arranged at 90° to each other to lend the fabric their extreme mechanical strength. The ePTFE (Expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane on the inner layer is the result of stretching PTFE, a linear polymer. This microporous structure allows water molecules to pass through in the gaseous state, thus allowing a breathability score of 40,000 g/m²/24h, while not allowing water in the liquid state to penetrate at all with a waterproofness of 20,000 mm. The walls are therefore naturally water-repellent and hydrophobic thanks to the Polyester coating, but also thanks to the very low natural water absorption rate of Dyneema® (water absorption in 24 hours for HMWPE is less than 0.01% - ASTM D570).

DYNEEMA® FLOOR

Dyneema® composite was chosen by Samaya for the floor of the ALPINE and assault tents because of its exceptional properties. It is a laminated textile made of monofilaments of UHMWPE fiber and two layers of Mylar®.

The Dyneema® filaments superimposed at 90° to each other provide the mechanical qualities of the fabric and allow it to contain the tear in case of perforation. The two Mylar® sheets hold everything together and provide excellent resistance to abrasion as well as an unprecedented waterproofness of 20,000 mm. In addition to its performance, this material is very easy to repair, which increases the life of the products Samaya.
