Now offering a smaller size which is 3" shorter than the regular size. This can be a better fit for small paddlers in a small boat, especially a decked boat, where there isn't as much space.
The most versatile option for on-packraft storage. Use it on your boat as a lap bag, deck bag or as a day pack for a quick side mission hike.
On the approach and exit, the Captain's Bag can add additional storage to your backpack as a brain or dorsal pocket.
The Captain's bag is a bit smaller than the standard Bow Bag, and the geometry is optimized to fit under your legs as a lap bag.
The zipper runs parallel to your legs, allowing you to easily access the bag even when you are still in the thigh straps.
The zipper can be oriented to open at either end. A gatekeeper hook secures it directly at the zipper to many Alpacka inflatable seats, allowing it to open and close effortlessly.
An included wraparound floor strap secures the bag to the inflatable floor in boats with a full length floor like the Alpacka Mage and Valkyrie. This keeps the bag from flopping out of the boat in the case of a swim or a portage.
Also compatible with 2024 and earlier models of the Alpacka Gnarwhal and Wolverine with the optional shockcord toggle.
Lap Bag
Perfectly sized to fit between your legs in the cockpit of your boat. Easily carry a liter of water, throw rope, and pack-a-pump with room to spare.
The zipper runs parallel between the legs for easy access even with one hand.
Bow Bag
The modular design allows you to adapt the bag to fit the bow or the stern of many boats by girth hitching the included boat straps through the perimeter daisy chain. The straps can then be trimmed to length.
Day Pack
Using the optional ultralight shoulder straps, the Captain's bag can be worn as a day pack for side missions away from the water.
Dorsal Pocket
Adds more volume to your backpack and get quick access to your essential gear.
Designed to integrate seamlessly with backpacks with side compression straps and buckles. Perimeter daisy chain allows it to easily be rigged to almost any backpack on the market.
Pack Brain
Replace the over-the-top straps and the use the four included accessory straps to rig the Captain's Bag as a lid for your backpack.
