WALL OF THE RADICAL SAMAYA3

To meet the demands of usage, quality and performance, the composite is carefully selected. The Samaya RADICAL3 tent is equipped with two-layer laminated fabric walls, made from an assembly of Dyneema® Composite Fabric and an ePTFE membrane. This technology combines waterproofing, breathability and exceptional lightness.

The fabric is extremely strong thanks to the Dyneema® filaments layered at right angles. The internal ePTFE membrane allows for high breathability of 40,000 g/m²/24h, while providing 20,000 mm of waterproofing against liquid water. The polyester coating and low natural water absorption of Dyneema® make it naturally water repellent and waterproof.

DYNEEMA® FLOOR

Dyneema® composite was chosen by Samaya for the floor of the ULTRA range of tents because of its exceptional properties. Dyneema® is a laminated textile consisting of monofilaments of UHMWPE fiber and two layers of Mylar®.

Dyneema® filaments layered at 90° to each other enhance the mechanical strength of the fabric and can help contain tearing in the event of a puncture. The two sheets of Mylar® also provide abrasion resistance and 20,000 mm waterproofing. This material is also easily repairable, which increases the durability of Samaya products in addition to their excellent performance.
