Rossignol X-ium Carbon Premium Skate
The word Premium is used for a reason. Being the highest-end World Cup race boot in Rossignol's line up, it comes with a full carbon fiber sole and cuff, an impossibly stiff torsional rigidity and all the engineering that comes from decades on the World C
Having decades of Nordic engineering experience from the World Cup circuit, Rossignol continually pushes the boundary of the low-end on the weight scale. We weren't sure if our scale was broken when we first put these boots on the balance, but not only do these boots hold up, but they excel for racers ranging from top-end High School Nationals racers to Olympic and World Cup athletes.
Rossignol knows what stiff means, but they also know that too much stiffness can make a dead boot. That's why they construct their soles in two parts, so that they boot is not only extremely notionally rigid, but the slight toe flex at the metatarsal gives incredible flex precision and on-piste feel. This, combined with a full carbon fiber cuff attached with a friction-free rivet, gives a full leg control so you know exactly where your edges will land, every time.
A finely-tuned boot fit runs narrow for precise ski feel, with a one-piece carbon wrap heel cup for unmatched heel hold. The full length neoprene sock, asymmetrical side zipper and polyester Thermo Adjustable cushion ensures a precise comfort. It's finished with Rossignol's proprietary Rossi Carbon Sole for compatibility with all NIS Rottefella and Salomon Pro Link New Nordic Norm bindings.
