While we have
several tools at hand buying boots over the internet is not the surest way
to get the best fit. We have been selling boots to the Alaskan Bush for 25
years and we are pretty good at it but if you have a quality shop in your
area that takes the time to fit a boot correctly you will have a better chance
of getting the right boot there.
We use faxed
outlines of customer's feet to help insure the length and width of a boot.
We can line these up with insoles of boots and tell what will fit. Of course,
this has a lot to do with how well a customer outlines his or her foot and
it tells us nothing about how high or low the instep is.
This is where
a little dialog comes in handy. We have been selling AT and Tele boots ...
well pretty much as long as they have been made. If you tell us another boot
you have fit into we may know which boot is likely to fit your foot. Even
if it is not an AT or Tele boot it could be useful. It is also useful to tell
us about anything that has bothered you in the past. Shin bang, ankle joints
rubbing, circulation cut off in the instep etc..
