ultimate Alaskan leather mountaineering boot. Insulated with Thinsulate, it
keeps a well matched foot warm. The 2mm full steel shank is wrapped with carbon
fiber to stiffen it up somewhat but still allow it to hike well for a burly
mountain boot, making it a great choice for summer glacier travel and low altitude
mountaineering. With a fully rigid crampon
the boot does not flex and climbs like a dream. We use this boot for ice, mixed
and day mountaineering in the winter and for 3 season mountaineering trips with
snow and glaciers. |
